Each month we offer courses exploring different aspects of ceramics. Since there are many studios focused on throwing and discovery, we opt to experiment with different faucets of the ceramic practice, particularly where it allows people to stretch their creative imaginations and scientific natures.

Handbuilding basics
3hr class teaching basic instruction with studio clay of slab and coil building, up to 600g stoneware clay, build a customised object. Clear glossy glaze applied by the studio.

3-day handbuilding course
2X 3 hr classes up to 700g stoneware clay Class 1- coverage of slab, pinch and coil techniques Class 2- Using learned techniques, build what you want Class 3- glazing (2 hr) The aim is to make 2 to 3 high quality items based on your own ideas. You are able to glaze using the full spectrum of studio glazes (100+ glazes) in your desired combination

Kids handbuilding
2 hr class where kids aged 8+ can create clay objects and figurines with up to 600g stoneware clay, trialing coil and pinch methods

Plaster mold making
4hr course to make a plaster mold, which can be taken home, maximum volume of casted item 500ml

Slipcast session
Using studio molds, create stoneware slipcast objects Own molds possible with studio permission

Using mason stains in the slipcast process you can marbelise the slip casted item.

Pieces will be available for pick-up within 3 weeks of final course date. Due to space limitations, if left for 6 weeks we may not keep your piece. All pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe. Depending on the type of glaze used, it may not be food safe.
For private events held within our studio, we require a minimum of participants 5, maximum 10 if hosted at our studio. If it is held out of our studio it is possible to arrange more attendees.
Club Clay
Busy life but still want to carve out some time to be creative with clay? Are ceramics studio memberships too demanding? Do you want to make friends outside of your normal circles? Looking for something that’s a bit laagdrempelig?
Come socialise, sip wine, disconnect from an online world and build or paint. Want to make something from scratch?
Up to 600g stoneware clay and inclusive of dipped glossy clear glaze, it is possible to glaze your own pieces at an additional fee on a separate monthly date (Club Glaze)
Tea, coffee, wine & snacks included
Adults only. Pieces are expected to be available within 3 weeks. Due to space limitations, if left for 6 weeks we may not keep your piece, we will do our best to contact you about collection.
